GUNNERY INFO.
❝ The ship's first line of defense against outside attack, the gunnery is positioned to coordinate and execute offensive and defensive maneuvers in response to the captain's orders. ❞ ![]() The main battle station is located adjacent to the bridge, and is used to control and observe the turrets and cannons on the exterior of the Tranquility. There are multiple, secondary gunnery outposts scattered throughout the ship, but the main battle station is the only place one can access the overarching systems in place, or the data collected by the long range sensors. The main battle station contains twenty consoles, each of which focuses on a different section of the ship. Ideally, all twenty consoles would be manned by Gunnery personnel on each shift, at which point the operator in question would be able to minimize any potential blind spots and have full control over exterior weaponry. Currently, all twenty of the battle stations have been repaired and are in working order, able to be used by any member of the crew possessing Gunnery nanites. The computers located on the main battle station keep an archive of information about battle history, maintenance, and any other space crafts or objects which enter into the ship's range. Any data pre-existing Wave 001 is inaccessible, though this may be due to extensive system damage. Any attempts to access these backlogs from the system is met with a large error message and denied access. L O N G R A N G E S E N S O R S The ship's hull and exterior has numerous arrays built in, allowing the sensors to operate by forming the individual readings from each array into a large-scale map. When fully functional, this map is able to be accessed by gunnery on the main deck. These sensors are in continual operation. Any disturbance surrounding the ship can be alerted by the data processed and returned to the main consoles. For the sensors to be operational, the array itself and the connection path leading back to the main deck must be intact. How much can currently be seen by gunnery depends upon how many of the arrays and connection paths are intact. Arrays resting on certain areas of the ship, such as anything beneath the dark interior of the ship will be inaccessible, which means the arrays on the middle belly of the Tranquility will continue to be inoperable. T U R R E T S & C A N N O N S The Tranquility is outfitted with titan-class heavy weaponry, making it one of the most intimidating vessels in known space. Twenty hybrid turrets make up the main weapons, utilizing both physical ammunition and energy to create a bolt of matter/energy, and are comprised of both external (referring to the turrets themselves) and internal systems (referring to the hardware connecting the turrets to the operational systems in the main battle station.) They operate on an automatic loop, but possess a manual override should the situation arise in the event remote control is interrupted. Should this occur, a crewman must climb up into the turret from within the ship and take over manual function. The turrets themselves are designed to retract into the ship in preparation for the jump, as the exterior of the Tranquility has been designed to withstand the force the jump itself exerts upon the ship. Currently, eight of the turrets are damaged beyond working order. These eight are located over the unlit interior of the ship, and are currently inaccessible to the crew. An additional five have been so severely damaged by the force of the jump that they will need to be entirely rebuilt before they are able to be used. Should the hybrid turrets prove ineffective against an enemy, plasma cannons can then be deployed. Of the four available canons located on ship, the two on the port side of the ship are heavily damaged, and currently beyond repair. Operation of turrets and cannons is limited to those with Gunnery nanites. Spare parts for the turrets, cannons and internal control systems can be found both in the armory and the storage Gunnery gained access to at the departmental access upgrade. Ammunition can be found in the armory. ![]() A R M O R Y Accessible only by members of the gunnery crew, the armory is a circular room with a vaulted ceiling, housing the remainder of the ship's weaponry. It's divided into two levels, and the weapons are divided between both. The second level is where lighter weaponry and tools are kept, and the larger pieces of machinery, such as the replacement parts for the turrets, canons and internal control systems, along with the mounted machine guns, are stored on the lower level. The ammuntion for these weapons are stored on the corresponding floors. The armory itself is designed and organized to hold 70 handguns, 90 taser-like electroshock guns, 40 rifles, and 60 mounted heavy machine guns. Currently, what remains of this is only 53 handguns, 55 electroshock guns, 16 rifles, and 60 mounted heavy machine guns. The ammunition is depleted in correspondence to the missing weaponry, though the stock of ammunition for the turrets is largely untouched. It should be noted that since game start, the armory has been supplemented with player inventory or weapons constructed on board the ship. If your character has created or gifted a weapon to the gunnery, please note it here. ![]() ![]() CLASS: HANDGUN ![]() ![]() CLASS: RIFLE ![]() CLASS: MACHINE GUN S A F E T Y & M A I N T E N A N C E On the wall of the armory is a list of general safety precautions when handling weaponry. Consoles contain detailed information the general care, maintenance and schematics of each kind of firearm on hand, including the turrets, particle canons and shields. This information can also be accessed from the battle stations. All materials needed for care and maintenance of weaponry on board can be found in the armory:
